Dr. Anita Gupta is a board certified anesthesiologist specializing in pain and trained pharmacologist with a masters in public policy and a certificate in health policy from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. She has been a healthcare provider for over 20 years as both a pharmacist and pain physician anesthesiologist. She has been a recent FDA advisor who has received the Learner Award from the American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC) in Washington D.C. She also has served a thought leader for the Washington Post, Forbes, CNN, Doctor Oz, and others. She has been featured on the cover of Philly Biz magazine as Top in Healthcare in Philadelphia, and also on the front cover page of the Philadelphia Inquirer involving a complex medical drug overdose. She is an author of international books by Oxford University Press, Interventional Pain Medicine, and Pharmacology in Anesthesia Practice and 50 Studies Every Anesthesiologist Should Know. She completed the public advocacy fellowship with the Mayday Foundation and the executive Wharton Total Leadership Program at the University of Pennsylvania. She has been called upon to discuss high profile medical topics involving Tiger Woods, Bill Cosby, Angelina Jolie, and Prince and others. Dr. Gupta's contributions have earned her recognition for public health, service, and broad clinical medical expertise in pharmacology, pain and frontline patient care. She completed her Doctorate in Pharmacy at Rutgers University and her medical degree from UMDNJ (now Rowan University), and her residency in anesthesiology at Georgetown University School of Medicine, and clinical scientist training during her anesthesiology residency at National Institutes of Health, NHLBI in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Gupta completed postdoctoral professional education certificate from MIT in Boston, MA in controlled release drug technology and interventional multidisciplinary pain fellowship from Johns Hopkins University.
